| Kizuna - Friendship |
23 lucky students of George Washington High School will visit Japan this summer through the Kizuna project trip. The purpose of the program is to promote understanding about the current situation in Japan and recovery efforts after the earthquake and tsunami that occurred on March 11, 2011. Additionally, the kizuna project will encourage greater understanding between the youth of Japan and the United States and foster long-term and ongoing interest in one another by providing firsthand experiences with the culture of the other.
Students will leave for Japan on July 1. We will take a turn to write a blog, sharing our experiences, discoveries and adventures. Come visit this blog and check how we are doing in Japan!
